One hour after confirming its standard release on Friday, September 6th, 2024, Jay Bizzze returns with his highly anticipated deluxe version of his debut studio album, YOUNG SAMSON (aka YSD). Released on Friday, February 28th, 2025, YSD expands the standard version to 15 tracks, including the electric prequel to his fan-favorite single, JAWBONE. Marking the first collaboration between the two burgeoning Christ-centered emcees, JAWBONE II features Rapzilla Freshman and friend Kham.

After sample clearance issues barred the songwriter, speaker, and founder of his Christian Streetwear brand HizBizNiz from releasing Delilah’s Lap as the intended 6th track on the standard release of YOUNG SAMSON, Jay collaborated with EDM Pop producer Ike Smith to craft a dark and cinematic version of the trap banger. With the inclusion of Delilah’s Lap, Jay now cites YOUNG SAMSON (Deluxe) as “the way my debut studio album was meant to be heard.”

Under the moniker of YOUNG SAMSON, Jay Bizzze wrote his debut album to share his struggles with lust, pride, and temptation through the lens of his childhood hero, Samson, whose story and struggles with these three issues are found in Judges 13-16. Across eight lush-produced tracks (one Spoken word and one interlude), Jay juxtaposes Samson’s successes and failures with his own to help the listener learn how to overcome lust, pride, and temptation.

3 weeks after the standard release of YOUNG SAMSON, his mother, his pastor, and the Lord encouraged Jay to record a commentary for the album. On September 27th, 2024, Jay wrote and recorded seven commentary tracks explaining the passion, heart, and hidden meanings behind each song on the concept album. He credits KB and his commentaries for his albums Tomorrow We Live and Today We Rebel as the artistic inspiration for including a commentary on the deluxe release of YOUNG SAMSON.
